Welcome friends! My name is Beks, and I am the founder of Chicago Junk Journal Club. CJJC is a creative community built around the joy of journaling, memory keeping, and storytelling with our hands. What started as a small meet-up has grown into one of Chicago’s most vibrant creative clubs, bringing together people who love paper, stickers, scraps, photos, paints, washi tape, and all the little things that turn a blank page into a story.

At CJJC, we gather for monthly meetups where members bring their journals, swap supplies, and create together. There are also themed workshops that give direction to your pages while sparking new inspiration.

What makes this club special is its values. I care deeply about creating a community where everyone feels truly welcomed and at home.

I, also believe in creativity without judgment and without perfection: your journal is your safe space, whether it’s messy, neat, abstract, or full of stickers. There are no rules about how you junk journal.
